Valentine’s Day Boxes

I remember having to write out Valentine’s Day cards to each friend and passing out candies and that was pretty much it.

But my girls not only do traditional cards and candies but these days a Valentine’s Day box is where it’s at! Basically you can use a tissue box, shoe box, cereal box or whatever your creative mind takes you and decorate to your hearts desire! (Pun  totally intended)

Here are two boxes we did for this Valentine’s Day! Love how their personality comes through even in crafting!

Monday Worship Pulse

“When I worship, I would rather my heart be without words than my words be without heart.” – Lamar Boschman

Perfect Love…

I have been worried sick lately about so many things that I have no control over! Everyday little by little it stole my peace and joy. But when I refocused on His perfect love for me, I realized I don’t have to worry/fear because He will come through in His perfect time. (And He does everytime)

My lesson this week: I need to learn to accept the reality of His love for me, so that my worries/fears do not control me.  Don’t let  anything separate you from God’s love, you will have the victory!

Love to you all!❤️

100 Days Smarter…

It’s the official 100th day of school today! Our kindergartener was tasked with decorating a tshirt with 100 items!

We went with 100 Days Smarter and used  the candy–Smarties! Simple and fun while tying in patterns, shapes and an easy math problem! (Tip: there are 15 smarties in one packet)

Happy 100th Day!

A Healthy & Super Easy Recipe (Caprese Flatbread)

Some nights I am on the go and have to get something on the table faster than I have the time for but it certainly helps when I can not only fix something super quick but on top of it–be super healthy too!

Caprese Flatbread with basil pesto, tomatoes, mozzarella, topped with arugula and balsamic glaze.

I found this delicious and healthy option of pre-made flatbread. Just pop in the oven for two minutes at 375 degrees before adding the toppings.

After heating the flatbread for two minutes it’s time to add the toppings. I liberally spread the cheese. (Next time I will grab fresh mozzarella but in my haste I grabbed the quickest option) Add the basil pesto and tomatoes which I cut in half; Drizzle the balsamic glaze. Put in the oven for about 5 mins or until cheese melts.

The final step: Add the arugula and serve!

Super easy, Super delicious and Super healthy! The kids loved it and I loved it because they are still getting their veggies in.

Road Trippin… (Miami to Key West)

What a day we had! Last night, we spent the night in Miami (our half way point) and we started out our day today looking forward to blue skies and turquoise waters!

Our first stop was at Robbie’s in Islamodora Key, where we could feed the Tarpon fish. This little stop had everything from souvenir shopping, restaurants, ice cream shops and a place to just kick back and relax.

After feeding the tarpons and dodging some massive pelicans who are on the prowl for the fish just as well, we grabbed some ice cream and my all-time favorite snow cones topped with sweetened condensed milk–Yum!

Back to the car after our super fun stop…

We made it! Dan and I first came to Key West 16 years ago on our 1 year anniversary and we have been back a few times with the kids as well but this time as they are older we are ready to do what we love doing as a family: explore!

We had to go see the southern most point and grab a coconut ofcourse!

           (This was Alaina’s favorite)

Next stop Mallory Square to watch the sunset! Everyday in Key West there is a sunset celebration where there are entertainers, live music and different souvenir stands as everyone countdowns the moments to the sunset.

                         (Mile Marker O)

This guy was entertaining when Dan and I first went 16 years ago!!!

I could NOT do this sunset justice!

Then THIS happened!!! There was no waking her so we ate dinner at one of our more memorable restaurants we ate 16 years ago! Yes folks we had a moment while the other two colored and this one slept–the food never tasted more glorious!

A fun day/night doing all family-friendly activities even in the Keys

                     See you next time!

Road Trippin…(St. Pete to Sanibel Island)

And we are off! This time Dan, the girls and I are heading further south and like our previous summer road trip, we are hitting up some other hot spots along the way.

Our first stop Sanibel Island. Sanibel is known for its shell beaches and wildlife refuges. More than half of the island is made up of wildlife refuges, the largest being J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, which ofcourse we had to check out.

             (Girls enjoying an art activity)

After exploring the Wildlife Refuge we set out to explore the beaches and did some shell hunting!

              (Alyssa’s “Palm Tree” Shell)

A very fun day exploring a new area for sure!  As I write this post, we are traveling through the Everglades–Alligator Alley, the stars are lighting the way and we are off to our mid-way point, Miami, before we continue on to Key West, Florida. 🌴

Cheers 2016!

I can not believe it’s the last day of 2016! Where did the time go? It seems as though each year goes by faster and faster and for me I tend to forget all the “good” things that happened throughout the year.

So to help us keep in the spirit of being thankful, last January our family added a new tradition–our “Give Thanks” jar!(Detailed instructions can be found on Mami of Multiples site–where I contribute for the Tampa Bay Area).

My goal in even making this jar was to make sure we remember our blessings of the current year. It’s so easy to head into the new year completely focused on all the “oh this didn’t happen” or “I didn’t reach this goal” or whatever your inner dialogue is telling you today. But with a “Give Thanks” jar we will be able to head into the New Year counting our blessings, celebrating what the Lord, alone, did for us! We will head into 2017 with a grateful heart as we read all of the things that we each took time to jot down throughout the last 12 months.

Cheers 2016 and Hello 2017!

A Happy New Year’s to Everyone! Thank you for reading my thoughts throughout the year!  As always, many blessings to each of you 💕

Christmas Family Tradition with Target’s, The Toycracker & Free Give Away!

The original post can be found on mamiofmultiples.com

The holidays are a time for celebrating family traditions. When my husband and I got married, one of our first Christmas decorations that we bought together were two nutcrackers that fit just perfectly on our mantle.

As the years went by and our house filled with more little feet and laughter, we added several other traditions. With the help of our children, our traditions have expanded to decorating our home the day after Thanksgiving and driving around to see the lights and decorations in the neighborhood. We now open one present on Christmas Eve after attending church and read the Christmas story from the Bible on Christmas morning even before opening presents.
One tradition that we enjoy as a family the entire month of December is cozying up on the couch watching classic holiday movies. With the Christmas tree lights flickering, the Christmas village meticulously placed while the stockings are already hung awaiting Santa’s arrival – its truly a special and beloved time for our family. Its a tradition we hope our children will one day share with their own families one day.

This year, Target invites you and your family to rediscover the wonder of Holiday Theater with the debut of a Broadway-style production called, The Toycracker, Target’s modern interpretation of the classic holiday tale of The Nutcracker.

The Toycracker stars Oscar, Golden Globe and 10-time Grammy winning artist John Legend as The Rat King, television personality and No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Chrissy Teigen as The Nutcracker, and a cast of Target’s must-have holiday toys that come to life through computer generated animation. The eight-minute musical will air in two four-minute segments during the network broadcast premiere of Disney’s Frozen on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. EST/ 7p.m. CST on ABC. See a behind-the-scenes sneak peek by clicking HERE.

Our family can’t wait to watch Target’s Toycracker! What a unique and fun concept on a holiday classic that families of all ages can watch together.

A big Thank You to Target for sending us a Christmas bag filled with lot of goodies from Hot Cocoa, Chocolate Covered Marshmallows, Holiday Drizzle Caramel Corn Clusters, Turtle Pecan Chocolates, Let It Snow mugs, a Frozen blanket and a pair of super soft festive socks to keep us warm and cozy! You can really find everything you need at Target to get your family in the spirit of the season and ready to enjoy some holiday fun together.

The Feliciano’s will be adding one more memory as we look forward to the premiere of The Toycracker this Sunday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. EST/ 7p.m. CST on ABC!
