His Masterpeice

We all admire the beautiful skies whether it be a sunrise that illuminates the beginning to a new day or a majestic sunset that paints the sky with hues of orange, yellow or reds! But reading this passage of scripture this morning, how many of us admires His true masterpiece?

We are God’s masterpiece, His handiwork, created in His image and called with a purpose!

Our Present Help

How many times do we pray asking the Lord to remove this problem or that problem? I know I do! We tend to think oh if we didn’t have this or that–life would be so much easier. But when I read the quote above, I thought, “wow, so true!” We don’t need the problem in our life to be removed every time–sometimes those same problems that bring us stress, grief or seems like the end of the world are meant to teach us something–help us grow or even somehow minister to others!

Now I know it’s never easy as that but it is simple as that! We just tend to complicate the process instead of allowing Him to do what He does. Psalm 46:1 tells us, “God is our ever present help in times of trouble.” Hang on to those words today! Let Him help you find a way through your struggles victoriously!

I Declare…

ONE touch from The LORD can CHANGE everything…
Don’t give up!

Don’t give up on your dreams…

BELIEVE and DECLARE with me that you are not just going to survive life anymore, but you are going to THRIVE!

Trust…

This is so true for Daniel and I, especially as we approach our 2 year mark of stepping out of the boat–our comfort zone! God has seen us through SO much in the past 2 years and we stand so much stronger in Him! We both can attest to “He never leaves you and never forsakes you.” There is always a Bigger Plan–trust Him!

Speak Life…

Don’t be trapped by what comes out of your mouth! Choose to speak “Life” “Goodness” over yourself! #loveyourself❤️

“I Will Be With You”

Whatever you may be going through today, the Lord promises to never leave you nor forsake you! He is closer than your own brothe/sister, just trust in Him and He will direct your very path! Be encouraged today as you head into a new week!

L-O-V-E

On Friday, the 4th graders (Alyssa’s grade) led chapel at  school. It was all centered on “love!”

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

How important is the Lord in your life?

Is He on the back burner until you are ready to let Him in?

Do you love Him with all your heart?

Alaina Tales…

In our home everything turns out to be a teachable moment as I’m sure most of you do with your children.  I do find that in these moments that our kids do understand the point quicker and the life lesson is far more valuable than just reading it from a book, per say.
On Valentine’s Day my hubby surprised me with–a four course meal. Ofcourse the three girls are with us as but Dan set the stage pretty well. There were roses and cards for all of us, our China was laid out, the dinner candles were lit and all us girls sat patiently awaiting the yummiest food. Dan told the girls that it was a special dinner and he pretended it was a fancy restaurant. As he served us, we both taught the girls about how we would behave in a very fancy restaurant. We talked about where you would keep your napkin, which fork to use, how to stay in your seat, how to cut your meat, how to order, using manners, the conversations you can have at a dinner table and the list goes on!

Dan happily took his time serving each one of us and played the role of “waiter” pretty well. The girls got a kick out him adding salads to their plates or the appetizers and even Aliyah got into it by making her own choices–it was a blast!

It was time for him to sit and enjoy the delicious food with us as we celebrated Valentine’s Day as a family. But

I looked across the table and there is my five year old staring at me. I asked, “Alaina what’s wrong, don’t you like the food?” She shifted her eyes slightly to the side glaring at her daddy while slyly pointing at him and says quietly at the table (because we do not raise our voices in a fancy restaurant), ” I don’t know if I can eat; why is this waiter eating with us?”

Ofcourse, we all erupted in laughter and that teachable moment went a different direction that night. More tales of Alaina to come as she has been developing into her own little personality!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Monday Worship Pulse

“When I worship, I would rather my heart be without words than my words be without heart.” – Lamar Boschman

I See…(Alyssa Feliciano)

Alyssa, my 9 year old daughter, is so fascinated with my blogs. She loves reading them and gives me her insights on what she likes/dislikes, thinks is funny or most times can come up with  helpful ideas that I can possibly use as a topic for a future blog post.

A couple days ago, Alyssa approaches me while I’m busily preparing dinner, going over sight words with our kindergartener while offering a few snack options to the two year old to tie her over til dinnertime! I hear Alyssa’s voice excitedly say, “mommy I just wrote a poem!”

The last thing I needed was to stop to read a poem in the midst of a busy evening. But as parents, do your littles ones give you insight on a new talent, passion, gifting that they may be playing around with? Are you taking time to foster it? Do you encourage it, or push it aside?

Here’s to me embracing a creative side in Alyssa and encouraging a new way of her expressing her thoughts as she discovers a new style of writing! (Plus she will be pretty excited to see I’ve used one of her writings this time) 💕
