Unhindered Prayers

Don’t let the way you treat others get in the way of how your prayers are being answered!

(Taken from Joel Osteen)

Did you know that the way you treat people has an impact on the effectiveness of your prayers? The Bible says that the prayer of the righteous person is powerful, but if we aren’t treating others with honor, kindness and respect, then we aren’t allowing His righteousness to operate in us. When we don’t treat others the way we should, it closes the door to God’s power and hinders our prayers.

This is especially true in a marriage relationship. Marriage isn’t just an agreement between two people to live life together. Marriage is a God-ordained institution that helps us understand love and unity. When two people are married, they become one physically, spiritually and emotionally. This particular passage is directed toward husbands, but it applies to all believers as well. We should all treat others “with understanding,” which means considering the needs of others above our own. We should always aim to treat others with kindness, dignity and respect and quickly choose forgiveness.

The Bible says that the way we treat others is the way we treat God. So choose love and treat others with respect so that your prayers can be powerful and effective the way God promises!

A Prayer for Today

“Father in heaven, I want to live in Your ways. I want to treat others with love and respect which shows that I honor You. Show me how to be a blessing to others and teach me how to make my prayers effective in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Open Door

Don’t try to force your way into situations that are NOT meant for you! If it’s For you—you will walk right through it! 💥

See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8)

Love on Someone Else

Do you sometimes get stuck on All the things that are not necessarily going your way? You just want what you want and that’s that! But what if I said—set aside Your needs for just one day and turn to a friend who might need some loving or encouragement and choose to come alongside them? Could you actually turn away from your own wants/needs to love on someone else?

See, when we focus on meeting the needs of others, we won’t have time to worry about our own needs – which actually turns out to be fine since God has promised to take care of our needs anyhow!

Today as you head out in your day—Come alongside someone—encourage a friend, maybe it’s a kind word, maybe it’s you praying with them, maybe it’s you even buying them lunch—who knows—but choose to focus on someone else today—be devoted to someone today in love! ❤️

Move to the Next Chapter

Have you allowed yourself to move on from what’s holding you back? Today—the last day of the year—will you allow yourself to move on to your Next!

It’s time to let go of anything that may have held you captive in 2017. Sure a New Year can seem like just any other day if your heart has loss any expectation or the desire to dream anymore.

Tonight you may party or watch the ball drop on tv, or spend it quietly with your kids—however you choose to celebrate entering in the New Year is up to you BUT don’t enter in without moving past pain, resentment, unforgiveness, hopelessness, or fear.

Choose to see tomorrow as Your fresh start, your new beginning, a new chapter in your life! I encourage you to dream again—start today by simply allowing yourself to move on to your next chapter!

I can’t wait to hear how amazing life will be for my family & Friends in 2018! Love you all and praying that your Best is Yet to Come! Amen❤️

It Is Well

Is it “Well” with your soul? Sunday afternoon my mom called me and there was a tragic accident in Guyana that included extended family being taken from this earth far too soon! It was shocking, it was devastating and as the details poured in—it was gruesome! Later as I processed the incident, questions rolled through my mind about what those dear ones must’ve experienced or what were their thoughts or did they sense something was off that day? Did they meet previous family members in heaven? Who greeted them at the pearly gates? But what about those that are left to find peace here in on earth? What about those that are still processing trying to figure out the whys in a world that isn’t always fair?
We may never understand why things happen the way it does in this world, but one thing that we can rely on and that is God is in control!

To all my family that I can’t give a hug to today but is grieving, questioning, needs His peace, I encourage you to trust the simple fact—God is in control! It is well! Love you💞

When peace like a river, attendeth my way,

When sorrows like sea billows roll

Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say

It is well, it is well, with my soul

Know Who You Belong To?

You are the child of the Most High; You are highly favored and You are meant to live life in complete abundance—there is freedom in Him! Start today off knowing who you belong to in the Kingdom!🌟

I needed this today! These past few weeks have been one thing or another. From one sick kid to the next, schedule adjustments, lack of sleep, being pulled in very direction possible, getting up and doing it all over again–I’m exhausted!

Can anyone relate?

I need rest! It’s assuring to me in this moment while I even share this with you all–there’s a way to find that rest that I do seek! ❤️

Don’t leave Him out…

Fighting too hard to reach a goal? Plans aren’t quite coming together?           You are being hit with one bad news after another?                                                        More frustrated than ever because things won’t come together just right at home or work or even in your marriage?

Don’t leave Him out–with God all things are possible! He will always make a way where there seems to be no way! Hold on tight to whose you are and watch things shift!💜💜

Speak Life

What are you starting out your day saying to yourself? How does your inner dialogue affect your day, your choices, your spirit?

Proverbs 18:21–Death and Life are in the tongue, those that love it shall eat the fruit of it.
Speak good over you and your day today!💞

How Grateful Are You?

Let’s count our blessings? What are you most grateful for? Do you know that the more grateful you are the happier you are? Focus on the negative and it’s simple–you feel sad/tired/drained!

So count your blessings–name them one by one! Write them down; say it outloud–and you will see how good the Lord has been to you!

I will start–I am grateful for my family, I’m grateful for a husband that supports me and encourages me to be the very best version of me; I’m grateful for my three little girls that we were blessed with; I’m grateful for the opportunities I get to minister and encourage other people;  I am grateful that God is the center of my family’s life and He is leading our way!

I know I can keep going on and on…but it’s really quite easy–just start small and you will see the day will get brighter as you focus on the goodness in your life!

Now your turn…
