Preschooler Learning in the Kitchen

Our almost 3 year old was up earlier than her two older sisters this morning…so she and I decided to make breakfast together. A little one-on-one time with just mommy  and some added fun with learning, that mommy totally snuck in!

Who says making pancakes can’t get a preschooler’s mind going?!

She got introduced to measurements, a review in shapes/colors and there’s lots of fine motor being used!

What are some fun ways you are keeping your preschooler’s mind busy this summer?

100 Days Smarter…

It’s the official 100th day of school today! Our kindergartener was tasked with decorating a tshirt with 100 items!

We went with 100 Days Smarter and used  the candy–Smarties! Simple and fun while tying in patterns, shapes and an easy math problem! (Tip: there are 15 smarties in one packet)

Happy 100th Day!

Words Matter

In preschool this past week I started out teaching about creation as part of introducing Science to the students. In faith, we believe that God spoke all things into existence. (Gen 1:3-29) For six days God spoke out of His mouth and proclaimed what was being formed on each day. He spoke it, He professed it, He simply said it!

Have you ever considered what comes out of your mouth on a daily basis? What are you speaking into existence? What do you say about yourselves, your spouse, your children?

As I explained to the students this past week about all that was created by using words, I was reminded to speak “good” over my family, my situations/circumstances. Proverbs 18:21 states that there is life and death in the tongue. Have you thought about your “words” and whether it brings forth life to a situation or do your “words” already set you up to bring forth death/failure to it?
Words certainly do Matter! 💕
